Summary/Overview:
Rated by Bob Vokey as one of his top five 'best wedge players in the world', Brett Rumford has achieved incredible success as a tournament player both here and abroad. Following on from his very successful first instalment of Short Game Mastery in Perth, this session with Brett will continue to focus on the technical requirements for wedge and bunker play at the elite level, along with guidance on how to adapt this technique to the varying course conditions you will face throughout the upcoming Australian summer of Golf and beyond. As this is a practical session, please bring your wedges!
For WPGA Australasia members, please contact shingeley@pga.org.au or 0409 652 044 to register your attendance.
Learning Outcomes:
- Learn and implement the correct body, arm and wrist positions for each position (P1 and beyond).
- Understand the correct movement patterns of the lower body through P7-P9 (impact zone and beyond), and what constitutes proper rotation.
- Develop the adaptability for various lies and hole locations.
The first 45 minutes of this session will be held in the simulator area of the PGA Learning Hub, where Brett will provide an overview of his coaching philosophy.
We will then take a fifteen-minute break before moving to the chipping area for practical implementation.
